Managing our supply chain
We want to build and maintain a supply chain that embodies our values and vision. We follow a Customer of Choice strategy so we can manage our supply chain in a responsible and sustainable way and make sure we have a selection of suppliers and subcontractors who not only perform well but undertake their activities to the highest quality standards and safety expectations.
Our Customer of Choice strategy sets out clear expectations for both our own commitments and those of our supply chain, helping us consistently deliver excellence to our customers.
Customer of Choice Strategy
Our Customer of Choice strategy shapes how we manage our supply chain. We use a tiered structure to group suppliers and subcontractors based on performance, standards, suitability and other key factors. Categories are determined through a review and consultation process with stakeholders across the business.
Approved
Meet our minimum requirements, occasional collaboration and engagement, occasional opportunities to tender for applicable works or services.
Preferred
Exceed our minimum requirements, regular collaboration and engagement, regular opportunities to tender for applicable works or services.
New Entrants
Essential to our supply chain to encourage innovation, progression to approved status is required to receive tenders.
Not Approved
Doesn't meet our minimum requirements or standards, no opportunity to tender.

Fraudulent orders
We are aware that fraudsters are using spoofed email domains to impersonate NG Bailey and place fraudulent orders with suppliers.
Examples of the spoofed email domains are @ngbaileylimited.co.uk and @ng-bailey.com.
Communications from these domains are not associated with NG Bailey Group in any way. The only legitimate email domains used by the NG Bailey Group are: @ngbailey.co.uk, @ngbailey.com and @freedom-group.co.uk. We urge suppliers to be vigilant and to block any spoof domains to prevent fraudulent activity.

With around 48% of our supply chain already engaged, we are working closely with suppliers to support carbon reduction through strengthened environmental requirements, practical tools, expert guidance, and free training delivered in partnership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
