Delivering certainty across the nuclear lifecycle
Operating to exacting nuclear licensing standards, our teams deliver precision-engineered solutions across electrical, controls and instrumentation systems, power infrastructure and specialist lighting design. By combining deep technical expertise with advanced digital tools such as BIM and offsite manufacturing, we ensure quality assurance, programme certainty and optimised whole-life performance.
Our ‘right first time’ approach underpins everything we do, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance in environments where there is no margin for error.

A legacy built on trust and technical excellence
Our nuclear heritage dates back to the 1950s, when we contributed to the creation of Calder Hall, the world’s first full-scale nuclear power station.
Since then, we have played a continuous role in the development and maintenance of the UK’s nuclear infrastructure, from early generation facilities through to modern, highly complex sites such as Hinkley Point C, Sizewell B, Sellafield, Urenco and AWE.
This long-standing presence reflects our reputation for precision engineering, safety and reliability, built through decades of trusted relationships and consistent delivery.
Supporting nuclear infrastructure across the UK
We operate across civil and defence nuclear environments, supporting critical national infrastructure at licensed sites throughout the UK. From clean energy generation and defence programmes to complex decommissioning projects, our teams work in highly regulated, operational environments, maintaining and enhancing infrastructure while ensuring safety, security and continuity.
Hinkley Point C
Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new nuclear power station in a generation. Since 2016, we have been supporting the electrical package as part of a joint venture. This nationally significant infrastructure project, delivering high‑quality building services and engineering solutions will create a low‑carbon energy source designed to power millions of homes for decades to come, whilst creating up to 1,000 jobs and delivering a lasting local legacy through apprenticeships and skills development.
Sizewell C
Since 2023, we have delivered all ecology, arboriculture, enabling, landscaping, and grounds maintenance services for the Sizewell C infrastructure project. Our remit spans multiple linear schemes, including two new link roads, a new rail connection, and several interconnected construction zones across the Eastern Suffolk region.
Sellafield
Located in West Cumbria, Sellafield has been central to the UK’s nuclear programme since the 1940s. We have supported operations from 1976 to 1997 and continue to work on site today, delivering electrical and instrumentation solutions, lighting, high‑ and low‑voltage power services, and long‑term engineering support across this nationally critical facility.

Our nuclear journey
1953 | Calder HallIn 1956, Her Majesty The Queen opened the world’s first full‑scale nuclear power station at Calder Hall in Cumbria. As the principal electrical contractor, we installed the individual division boards and electrical contractors that powered the plant. Calder Hall also began supplying electricity to the national grid, marking a landmark moment in UK energy history and establishing NG Bailey’s specialist nuclear capability.
1970 | Hinkley Point AHinkley Point A, a Magnox nuclear power station located on the Somerset coast, was operational from 1965 to 1976. We were responsible for delivering key electrical services, including power cabling and instrumentation cabling, supporting the safe and reliable operation of the station.
1970 | Heysham Stage OnHeysham Power Station is a nuclear facility on the Lancashire coast. Commissioned in the 1980s, We supported the development of Heysham Stage One, delivering electrical services across both advanced gas‑cooled reactors, reinforcing our expertise in complex nuclear environments.
1976–1997 and present | SellafieldLocated in West Cumbria, Sellafield has been central to the UK’s nuclear programme since the 1940s. We supported operations from 1976 to 1997 and continues to work on site today, delivering electrical and instrumentation solutions, lighting, high‑ and low‑voltage power services, and long‑term engineering support across this nationally critical facility.
1986 | Sizewell BOperated by EDF, Sizewell B is the UK’s only pressurised water reactor. We have delivered electrical services supporting both nuclear and conventional plant operations, including power distribution, cabling, earthing and lightning protection, contributing to the station’s safe and efficient performance.
1996–present | UrencoBased in Capenhurst near Chester, Urenco produces enriched uranium to support nuclear power generation worldwide. We have built a long‑standing relationship at the site, delivering specialist electrical and mechanical services within a highly regulated and secure environment.
2016–present | Hinkley Point CHinkley Point C is the UK’s first new nuclear power station in a generation. Since 2016, we have been supporting the £460million electrical package as part of a joint venture with Balfour Beatty. This nationally significant infrastructure project, delivering high‑quality building services and engineering solutions will create a low‑carbon energy source designed to power millions of homes for decades to come, whilst creating up to 1,000 jobs and delivering a lasting local legacy through apprenticeships and skills development.
