We work with the client’s Environmental Land Management team to deliver an annual programme of maintenance, habitat enhancement, mitigation, and environmental improvements aligned with DCO planning requirements and Biodiversity Net Gain targets.

Our specialists deliver over 350 annual tasks through an Integrated Land Management Plan(ILMP), which Freedom manages and continually updates to reflect the evolving estate.​

Rivers, wetlands and ponds

• ​Pond & Wetland creation for small or large habitat enhancement works

• Undertaking of licensed mitigation works associated with Rivers, Wetland and Ponds,including Water vole, Great Crested Newt and Natterjack Toad

• Re-profiling and re-naturalisation of main river and ordinary waterbodies, including both design and build elements

• Nature Based Solutions including Soft and hard flood alleviation solutions.

Woodland and grassland management

• Ground preparations for new woodland and forestry sites

• Tree and woodland planting in line with local management plans and soil characteristics

• Felling and processing of trees, vegetation management and sale of biomass where required

• Ground preparation - unique soil conditions

• Soil cultivation and conditioning, prior to seed drilling/green

• Hay collecting and spreading

• Pest control all species across the various sites.
